Work in Progress:
Received
front wheel spacers for the 2000 rims

Installed a
fuel pump eccentric from Total Performance in Michigan
(~$30 shipped).
The late model
5.0 used an electric fuel pump. Because I want to run a
mechanical pump I had to use the 289 front timing cover.
The 289 fuel pump eccentric does not fit on the
production cam gear. Total Performance makes an eccentric
that fits on the gear so you can use the mechanical pump.
It took about 5 minutes to install with the cover off.
Re-installed
front of engine with the 289 timing cover.
The late model
5.0 engine has 2 guide pins on the lower bolts for the
timing cover. These will have to be removed to use a 289
cover. A set of pliers worked for me.
The
aluminum fuel line has been removed completely from the
car.
I am planning on buying steel braided line to run from
the tank to the pump, then from the pump to the carb.
Eventually I would like to replace the tank with a fuel
cell.
The floor
pan on the passenger side is tack-welded in place.
Still.

Floor Pan Replacement - No new pics.
My wheels & tires - I got them on Ebay from Mustang Parts Specialties. They are 2000 Mustang wheels and tires, 16" and brand new. Will need wheel spacers on the front wheels which I ordered. See above.
